Our client is undertaking a significant transition of IT services—including Service Desk, Server Support, Database Services, and core infrastructure—to a new vendor. We’re looking for a seasoned professional to take ownership of planning, coordination, risk management, and stakeholder engagement throughout this complex migration. This is a contract role where you’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring the business remains stable, informed, and confident as services shift to a new operating model.
What You’ll Be Doing
Transition Planning & Execution
• Develop and manage detailed transition plans
• Work collaboratively with the incumbent vendor and internal technical teams
• Drive execution and ensure smooth, coordinated delivery across all streams
Risk & Compliance Management
• Identify, assess, and mitigate transition risks
• Ensure compliance with organisational standards and industry best practice
• Protect service continuity and minimise operational disruption
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement
• Act as the key interface across vendors, internal teams, and senior leaders
• Maintain transparency, communication, and alignment throughout the transition
• Support effective, timely decision-making
Operational Readiness
• Ensure complete, validated handover into BAU
• Clarify responsibilities and support models
• Confirm teams and processes are fully prepared for ongoing support
What You’ll Bring
Experience
• Extensive experience delivering large-scale, complex IT projects in enterprise environments
Transition Management Expertise
• Proven experience transitioning services between vendors
• Strong understanding of dependencies, change impacts, and migration risks
Technical Knowledge
• Good understanding of ITIL practices
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure
• Ability to engage confidently with infrastructure, platforms, and support functions
Soft Skills
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to lead through ambiguity with confidence and clarity
• Strong leadership presence and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
