We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst, to support major organisation‑wide transformation initiatives through to 30 June 2026. This is a Wellington based contract position.
You will work across the organisation, bringing structure and clarity to complex, ambiguous environments. Strong enterprise‑level experience and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders are essential.
Key Focus Areas
- Capability Stocktake: Document business rules, processes and policy linkages to support a new operating model.
- Requirements Definition: Translate cross‑functional business needs into clear interim requirements.
- Capability Uplift: Support in‑house BAs and teams to improve documentation of processes, rules and policy alignment.
About the Team
You’ll join a collaborative Business Analysis team developing a Centre of Excellence, guided by principles of customer‑first design, collective quality, consistent tools and templates, and evidence‑based solution design.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience leading requirements definition and prioritisation for complex initiatives.
- Strong business process improvement and process mapping capability.
- Ability to model business functions and communicate insights to senior leaders.
- Skilled in analysing ambiguous business situations and building consensus around recommendations.
- Internal consultancy experience, including option analysis and stakeholder facilitation.
Preferred Skills
- Workshop design and facilitation, including co‑design.
- Business process and service design.
- Ability to identify organisational interdependencies and system‑wide impacts.
- Gap analysis and interim vs future state assessment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication.
