We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a large, complex data and analytics programme, with a strong focus on discovery, requirements validation, and preparing the organisation for a major RFP and commercial procurement process.
This is a pivotal role, ideal for a Business Analyst who thrives in complex environments, can operate at both strategic and delivery levels, and has proven experience shaping requirements to support commercial decision‑making.
The Role:
Working as part of a high‑performing programme team, you will lead business analysis activities that underpin the commercial and procurement phases of a significant transformation initiative.
You’ll be responsible for re‑validating user requirements, shaping future‑state design, and translating complex business needs into clear, structured artefacts that support market engagement and vendor selection.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading discovery and future‑state definition for a large enterprise data & analytics programme
- Re‑validating user and business requirements to support RFP and procurement activities
- Developing detailed use cases, user flows, and functional requirements
- Translating complex requirements into clear, traceable user stories aligned to programme outcomes
- Conducting gap analysis between current and future states
- Supporting design thinking and discovery workshops with senior stakeholders
- Managing and prioritising a business analysis backlog
- Producing high‑quality business analysis artefacts to inform commercial, technical, and delivery decisions
- Working closely with programme leadership to identify risks, issues, and dependencies impacting delivery
You’ll engage with senior stakeholders across multiple portfolios, acting as a key point of contact for business analysis inputs and outcomes.
You will:
- Build strong relationships across business and technical teams
- Facilitate workshops and remote sessions to draw out complex requirements
- Communicate complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Ensure stakeholder alignment ahead of commercial and procurement milestones
We’re looking for a senior‑level Business Analyst who brings both depth of experience and strong commercial acumen.
You will ideally have:
- Extensive experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst on complex transformation programmes
- Demonstrated experience supporting RFP, procurement, or vendor selection processes
- Strong background in data, analytics, information management, or digital transformation programmes
- Proven ability to operate across discovery, design, and delivery phases
- Strong Agile capability, including experience with ADO / Jira and Agile ways of working
- Excellent documentation, communication, and facilitation skills
- The ability to simplify complex problems into clear, actionable outcomes
- Experience mentoring or leading junior Business Analysts (advantageous)
- High‑impact role within a large, enterprise‑scale programme
- Strong emphasis on shaping commercial outcomes, not just delivery
