Are you a skilled Finance Analyst or Business Analyst who thrives in complex, high‑impact programmes? Join a major, multi‑year strategic Information Management initiative driving transformation, data uplift, and improved decision‑making across a significant public sector environment.
We are seeking an experienced professional who can bring financial insight, analytical rigour, and structured business support to a programme that is shaping the future of enterprise‑wide information management.
What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain detailed programme budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Analyse financial performance, track variances, and present actionable insights to leadership.
  • Support whole‑of‑life cost modelling, OPEX/CAPEX analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Gather and document business and financial requirements across multiple workstreams.
  • Contribute to benefits realisation, options analysis, and BBC‑aligned business cases.
  • Assist with procurement planning, tender evaluation support, and commercial analysis.
  • Track contract financials, monitor spend, and ensure alignment of deliverables to payments.
  • Maintain robust governance artefacts, reporting, and audit‑ready documentation.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in Finance Analysis, Business Analysis, or a hybrid role within complex programmes.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capability (Excel and related tools).
  • Experience working in large IM/IT or transformation environments, ideally within or alongside the public sector.
  • Understanding of government budgeting, financial controls, and procurement frameworks.
  • Excellent written communication skills—able to synthesise complexity into clear, concise outputs.
  • High attention to detail and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, economics, business, or IT.
Security Requirement
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a valid security clearance or be able to obtain one. Candidates without clearance eligibility cannot be considered.
Why Apply?
  • Work on a major strategic programme with meaningful enterprise impact.
  • Bring your financial and analytical strengths to a highly visible transformation.
  • Flexible working arrangements (Wellington-based or hybrid).
  • 6‑month contract with strong potential for extension.
If you’re ready to make a significant contribution within a complex and fast‑moving environment, we’d love to hear from you.
