We’re looking for an experienced Change Manager to support a large-scale transformation programme involving international trade processes, systems implementation, and organisational readiness. This is a high-impact role working across multiple business units and stakeholder groups, helping deliver meaningful change in a complex environment.

About the Role
You’ll play a key role in driving organisational readiness and ensuring the successful adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll lead change activities from planning through to go-live and post-implementation support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end change management across a multi-stream transformation programme
  • Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement, communication, and training strategies
  • Facilitate workshops and walkthroughs to support adoption of new processes
  • Monitor and track change readiness, risks, and stakeholder feedback
  • Establish support mechanisms for go-live (e.g. FAQs, helpdesk, user guidance)
  • Partner with delivery, policy, and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Support both internal and external stakeholders through transition and post-go-live activities

About You
  • Proven experience delivering change management across large, complex programmes
  • Strong background working in government or similarly complex environments
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement across all levels, including senior leadership
  • Experienced facilitator with the ability to lead workshops and drive alignment
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and governance capability
  • Confident managing ambiguity and navigating evolving programme requirements
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on building trusted relationships
  • Experience with planning, risk/issue management, and delivery practices
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft 365 and Visio

What’s on Offer
  • Wellington-based contract on a significant transformation programme
  • Collaborative, delivery-focused environment
  • Opportunity to shape and embed change at scale
