Jason leads the Starfish Procurement Solutions practice which provides pragmatic, fit-for-purpose procurement services to Starfish clients to maximize the value they get from their suppliers.

Wellington born and bred, Jason has over ten years of hands-on procurement experience in both the public and private sector. He is a current member of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply).

Jason has established new, and re-engineered existing, procurement functions within a number of organisations, and has been involved in a broad range of supplier selection, engagement and management activities at varying levels of complexity and in a variety of roles.

Jason has held procurement management roles since 2004 and has been involved in a broad range of selection, engagement and supplier management activities at varying levels of complexity and in a variety of roles.  He has significant experience in procurement of ICT services and equipment, finance, print and marketing, professional services, corporate services and research. Some of his roles include:

• Senior Procurement Advisor – Ministry of Justice
• Acting Head of Commercial Services, and Procurement Manager, Public Trust
• Procurement Manager, National Systems Development Programme, Ministry of Health
• Commercial / Procurement Manager, New Zealand Qualifications Authority
• Commercial Manager, AMP New Zealand.

Jason is a current member of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) and a member of the Business Reference Group for the Government Procurement Reform Programme being run by the Ministry of Economic Development.
