Andrew Standish

Andrew brings extensive experience in change management roles in Government organisations, in addition to extensive experience in human resource and organisational development roles.
He has provided his services and expertise to multiple change projects for Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Inland Revenue and Civil Aviation Authority. With experience primarily in the State Sector, Andrew offers a wealth of experience and knowledge in regard to change, human resource, organisational development and security and risk projects.
For Starfish Andrew is the Implementation Manager within the New Zealand Defence Force on the Defence Transformation Programme. Prior to this Andrew developed a business case MFAT for options of outsourcing specific services.
Previous to this he was engaged as Manager of Human Resource and Support Services at Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Andrew was responsible for strategic and operational management advice and support for all facets of the Human Resource discipline, implementing best practice management policies and processes across CAA (including recruitment, employee relations, health and safety and training and development).
Andrew achieves positive outcomes by maintaining a forward-thinking outlook and a strategic approach to managing talent. He has effective leadership and relationship management skills which promote efficiency and effectiveness among any team he is a part of.

When not at work ... Cruising on his Motorbike. He has recently returned from a tour of UK, France, Spain and Portugal and is planning to undertake a transcontinental USA/Canada trip (including Route 66) in August 2013.
Reading - everything from biographies, fiction, sci-fi to historical and contemporary history.
Fitness - swimming, tennis, self defense and general training.
