Alan is a highly motivated, strategically driven but commercially focused manager with superior project management, operating and analytical ability. Alan is skilled in defining, implementing and managing value chain solutions for both government and non government agencies. 

His background in consulting, operations and information technology brings a unique skill set to clients.  Alan’s hybrid career has enabled him to effectively communicate across all parts of an organisation from the boardroom to the operating staff. 

He has in fact managed every major function of the value chain and delivered major IT projects. Recently Alan has focused on creating sustainable supply chain solutions for customers, a pragmatic approach to gaining real traction in creating viable sustainable solutions.

Prior to joining Starfish Alan was a senior manager for Ernst & Young, leading their supply chain and procurement solution for New Zealand.  Previously Alan ran his own supply chain consultancy company having spent nine years in Fonterra’s consumer business, latterly as the Group Information Officer. Evidence of his capability and value can be judged by Fonterra who asked him to travel, with his family, from the United Kingdom to New Zealand to help them in defining their international supply chain solution and then in choosing their partner vendors.
