The Directors of Starfish Consulting are John Lacey, Tadek Gawor, Ian Taylor, Harry Hall, Hugh Riley, Ben Pearson and Deidre Rennie. Each has a proven track record supplying quality business services to their Clients.
| John Lacey is chairman of Starfish and is primarily responsible for driving overall company strategy and governance. John has worked for over 20 years in senior leadership and directorship roles in the recruitment, consulting and services industries. He has an in depth understanding of the NZ business scene. Outside of work, John's interests include, jogging and fishing (a recent convert) and spending time with his family. He also has a Labrador named Ruby and a mischievous Bulldog named Reggie. |
| Tadek Gawor is a senior business consultant with more than 17 years business experience. Tadek has held a number of senior executive roles and managed a wide range of business projects. During the past 10 years he has worked delivering high level consulting services to public sector and corporate clients in New Zealand, US, Australia and South East Asia. At Starfish, Tadek is responsible for leading the Starfish Consultancy Practice. |
| Ian Taylor has 25 years experience in sales, sales management and general management positions in leading technology and business solutions companies in New Zealand. Ian is known for his straightforward and honest approach to serving Clients’ needs. At Starfish, Ian is responsible for leading the Client Management Team. |
| Harry Hall has over 30 years experience in the technology and services industry. He has been a business owner and manager for the last 15years in New Zealand and prior to that he worked in the technology industry both in New Zealand and in the UK. Harry currently owns and manages businesses in Consulting, Recruitment, Security Consulting and Hospitality. Harry is the Chief Executive of Starfish. |
| Hugh Riley has over 25 years experience in sales and leadership of services companies in the IT, commercial and public sectors in Wellington. Over the past 16 years he has managed and owned several Human Resource services companies responsible for business development, sales growth, service delivery, strategic direction and management. |
| Ben Pearson has been involved in the Wellington and Auckland corporate markets for over 10 years as a business manager in the services and human capital industries. Ben has a comprehensive NZ-wide network of IT contacts having placed or worked with many of New Zealand's most senior IT leaders. Ben's primary focus is working closely with clients to develop innovative, high value staff attraction and retention solutions, tailored to their individual needs. |
![]() | Deidre Rennie has 10 years recruitment consulting experience both within New Zealand and internationally. She has around six years experience in ICT recruitment in the Auckland market with an additional two years experience within a multinational recruitment company, primarily in a sales and client support representative capacity. Prior to this, Deidre gained eight years sales and account management experience within the medical, consumer photographic and financial services industries. Deidre is adept and capable at logical and analytical thinking including being able to anticipate obstacles and is able to show initiative. This is a benefit for clients looking for a proactive approach to recruitment. Deidre combines this approach with acceptance of responsibility and ownership for decisions and actions. With a strong customer service focus Deidre believes in building relationships with both clients and candidates alike and enjoys gaining an in-depth understanding of their requirements and being able to deliver to those. |
